Bess Blackhoof

Bess is larger than the average female Shu'halo, standing just over 9 feet on hooves the size of dinner plates. She is curvy and muscular, and has a hard time fitting through some doors. She prefers fighting bare-handed when not in animal form, relying on skill and strength instead of a well-crafted weapon. She is also a bit of a fashionista, and has a closet full of various armor sets and clothing popular with a variety of Azeroth's many races (some of which admittedly do NOT look good on her). One of her horns is broken, due to a loss in a brawl. She has white warpaint on her black fur, a mark of her heritage. Her red eyes are far friendlier than they appear at first glance, and she often wears a large toothy grin. Bess is older, but not elderly, and moves with the grace of someone much younger than she appears.

Bess was born into the Grimtotem tribe of Blackhoof Village. While she could speak to the Ancestors and Elementals as could the rest of her tribe, Bess felt a stronger calling to the ways of An'she and Mu'sha. She quickly grew tired of the harsh life in the swamps of Dustwallow, and when the opportunity came to travel to the Shu'halo city of Thunder Bluff she jumped on it. There she met others who shared her philosophy on life and began training to become a Druid. When the Grimtotem rebelled against the rest of the Shu'halo tribes, she sided with the Wildmane and pledged her loyalty to Cairne Bloodhoof. When he died at Hellscream's order, she took great personal offense to it.

Disappointment and distrust in the current Warchief is an understatement. She has removed her shoulder armor in protest of the Dark Lady's actions.

Spoilers! Bess directly disobeyed orders and went to Teldrassil's aid in evacuating when the first fireball left the catapult and refused to spread the blight during the siege of Lordaeron, opting instead to charge in with only a gas mask and save all those who fell in battle regardless if they were attacking or defending. She is currently in hiding from most of the Horde.

Bess is far more friendly and easy-going than other Grimtotem, making friends with Troll, Elf, Worgen, and Draenei alike. She is wary of the smaller races, but only because they are hard to see and she doesn't want to step on them! Bess is warm and friendly to all, as long as they are kind in return.

Bess feels an equal calling to both An'she and Mu'sha and began her Druidic path by pursuing the arcane and nature magic arts. She is also a proven Guardian; feel free to ask her about it! She is NOT adept in the healing arts however, something she is salty and somewhat ashamed about. Also being a druid, Bess is self-reliant. She has seen much in her many travels and tends to take action in the interest of herself and her immediate party. This causes her to be seen as a bit of a loose cannon by most other Shu'halo. She has recently made great friends among the Skyhorn Tribe of Highmountain.

Spoilers? Bess has now been ported to FFXIV! She is now a large Hellsguard Roegadyn, has lost most of her ability to shapeshift and is pursuing the Monk path, making money as a brawler in the Gladiator Arena in Ul'dah. She has an apartment in the Goblet, styled in the aesthetic of the Lavender Beds of Gridania. You can find her on Zalera under the name "Angus Beef".
