Physical appearance:
Slim and smaller than most afflicted humans/worgen, Corvano's fur is a sandy colour with a course, bushy mane stretching down to his back, filled with braids, beads and feathers. In human form his skin is dark and his hair is wiry, often left hanging to his mid-back in a fuzzy mess, - still filled with small braids, beads and feathers - with two long braids at the front. His face is slim, with an angular nose, sharp cheekbones and dark green eyes - often with a curious gleam in them. The man stands at a mere 5'5 and his worgen form doesn't add much, reaching only 6', this along with his rather relaxed posture makes him a pretty nonthreatening sight.
Clothing:
Corvano normally wears light clothing, often with a mostly bare chest, not one for armour. No matter what he wears he will always be seen wearing his tribal headband - one of the last things left of the family he left behind, it is a green band with two feathers hanging off the right side, one is a trophy from his first hunt as an adult at 15, the other was given to him after saving the tribe leader's life. Corvano will wear sandals when out and about and stays barefoot in worgen form, he often wears deep green, loose fitting trousers complimenting the band circling his head. As for accessories Corvano wears beaded arm bands and a silver stud in the right ear. Finally, around his waist Corv carries a bag of herbs and a few flasks of salves, just in case.
As much as he hates it, Corvano does own a set of armour, made of a mix of wood and light metal, it intricately carved with leaves on the shoulders, chest and wrists. Corvano will rarely wear it and has so far only found use for it once during the attack on the broken shore.
All of Corvano's clothing is enchanted with the basic worgen rune weave allowing it transform with him when switching between forms. His armour is even runed to stay on during druidic transformations - not that it's ever really used.
Druidic Forms:
As a druid of the talon Corvano specialises in his flight form, turning into a crow normally for flying, and a huge stormcrow when pushed to fight.
Corvano has two other forms; a fox for his feral form and a small moose - taught to him by Blue when he was a child.
Personality:
Inquisitive, caring, and a complete pacifist until those he cares about are threatened. Beware the kindest of souls are the most ferocious when pushed - especially a father protecting their husband and children.
Corvano cares highly about everyone, as a healer from a small tribe he has learnt many ways of caring, both physically and mentally, his skills were also learnt from his time with the Cenarion Circle and with the campaign in Northrend.
Corv usually stays quiet, he is opposed to conflict and is socially anxious due to struggling to speak common as it's not his first language. He often stumbles and says silly words in replacement for the one he wanted - for example, he once waved his hand around and claimed there was too many "humanoids" rather than "people". He is getting better though - just have a little patience!
Corvano has a slight fear of big cities and will often be found staring aimlessly and looking lost when forced to visit one, he also finds himself usually staying on Blue's back in human form as he feels safer up there - especially when Logan isn't around. However he does seem to be getting a little more comfortable in small districts such as the Dwarven district and the residential area by the market in Boralus.
Corvano believes everyone deserves a chance for redemption - everyone except his daughter's mother, who raped his husband while drunk then threw away the daughter to an abusive household as a slave. When he first learned of this Corvano was of course upset, but that quickly changed to pure undiluted rage, no one has seen him this angry before or since.
Early Life:
Corvano hails from a small, forest wandering tribe near the Hinterlands. As a child, he was originally supposed to learn how to be a shaman, it was seen as his place as one of the last few humans who are close enough to the elements to do so. This was especially reinforced in him as he was born a daughter within the tribe, they believed women held a much stronger connection to the goddess. However, Corvano found he couldn't care less, he was much more interested in "druidism" and anyway, he doesn't identify as female in any way. He learnt to use the spells of a druid such as healing but he wasn't able to transform or use this effectively, although he did devote an excess amount of time and nature energy into carefully adjusting the way he went through puberty, transforming him completely into a body that he feels comfortable with. However, over time Corvano managed to focus his skills on healing, becoming effective through channelling the arts of nature and tradition healing methods. One day, Corvano entered the forest, sent to hunt, and found an injured calf. Naive as he was, Corv thought the calf was a fawn and helped it out using his (rather weak) druidic restoration abilities to close the wound, then bandaged it up with his handmade bandages. The "fawn" was in fact a moose calf - a grove warden's calf, it imprinted on him and followed him around. Some of his tribe-mates laughed at him for it, while others called it a blessing. Fondly, Corvano named her Blue after her bright blue eyes, Blue never fully regained her abilities as a Grove Warden and can not fly like her counterparts, thus Corvano often uses her as a ground mount to carry items but she is more of a companion and friend than a mount. Blue has stayed with him through everything.
Leaving his tribe:
Corvano left his tribe at 17, gathering his supplies and leaving with Blue by his side. Although Corv did indeed wish to see the world, this was not how he imagined leaving. Hair adorned with two feather's he had passed his initiation rights to adulthood and even saved their leader's life but his father was the leader's brother and due to internal conflict and Corvano angrily speaking out - for the first time in his life - he was cast out. His own cousin running up to him and punching him hard in the face while his elder brother just stood by and looked away. "You always caused us trouble Black Feather. Why couldn't you just have joined the tribe shaman like father wanted?" The scorned voice had echo'd in his mind as he took his leave.
Corvano spent his time learning more about druidism from Azeroth's races in the Cenarion Circle, completing his druid training under a motherly couple consisting of a Tauren and Night Elf female, Blue also helped Corvano during this time, helping teach him to take the form of a scrawny adolescent moose - even if he couldn't hold the form for long.
Foot note: Corvano was 17 a year before Vanilla WoW would have been released going off irl years
The Northrend Campaign:
Corvano left for Northrend after the invasion campaign began, arriving in Valiance Keep not long after an attack had left many of the keep's guards and merchants injured. He set to work healing them and trying to help them set up a liveable foot hold using the weak amount of druidic magic he had. It was here he overheard talk of a platoon currently in the frozen wastes of Dragonblight fending off The Lich King's foul minions, there were whispers of them being gone too long, no messages coming back and no Gryphon scouts returning to the nearest base camp. With new determination Corvano dressed in as many layers as he could and rode out to find them on Blue's back. It took about a week for him to arrive but he did find them, the platoon wasn't exactly small but it certainly was waning under the constant assault. Corvano stayed with them for 5 weeks before the preparations to march on the Wrath Gate began - in which he swiftly evacuated back to the Keep to help any civilians caught in the crisis. During his time with the platoon he met their leader, Knight-Captain Logan Ironbarrow, a Gilnean man who seemed stern and straight put on the outside, but after getting to know him, Corv has found that Logan has a soft heart and a love for blacksmithing. Logan helped Corvano learn enough common to communicate, rather than completely relying on gestures, in that time they fell headfirst into a hot and heavy romance, spending time together in the Knight-Captain's tent. There was some trouble that occurred, what with a visiting nobleman's platoon and his aggrieved wife getting Logan thoroughly black out drunk and raping him in his bed, for Corvano's own sanity he was luckily not in the camp that day - riding out to a night elven camp to restock on medical supplies. Neither of them knew, and Logan only found out years later after he received a missive stating that the noblewoman had been pregnant and she'd abandoned the child. Corvano and Logan shared beds for the remaining weeks Corv stayed trying to enjoy what little time they had together, having no idea if either of them would survive this war. When Corvano begrudgingly left and later found out about the wrath gate incident he was shattered. He hadn't expected to meet his Knight-Captain again, but now? Knowing he was probably dead hurt even more, it was here that Corvano began to throw himself into his medicinal and druidic research without too much care for his own safety, he knew it was stupid to be caught up by a fling but he was a soft soul and that was his first love, first crush and first partner.
Entering Gilneas:
At 28, Corvano heard news of the Gilnean crisis, he mounted Blue and quickly made his way there; he'd heard so much about the walled city and even though it'd been two years since he'd left Northrend he couldn't help but remembered the Gilnean man. On his way he passed by a legion of Gilnean soldiers, readying to boat back into Gilneas as the part of the wall that bordered the sea had been blown through. It was here he met Logan once again, he immediately broke down, completely unprepared to find out his mourning was for nothing. However, he only really managed to speak with him momentarily as he checked the soldiers for wounds he could help with, after all, duty called and danger was everywhere. Reunions could wait. Corvano left Blue behind at this point, and entered Gilneas with the soldiers. Once in Gilneas Corv heard the rumours of Gilnean harvest witches being able to access full druidic potential after being transformed into worgen, and, as selfish as it was, he made it his goal to also be transformed so he too would be able to use the full range of his restoration abilities. In the end, he got his wish, running into the middle of city was probably the stupidest idea he'd ever had, but there was a group of refugees that needed helping, even a child among them and he felt it his duty to save them. A worgen latched onto his flank while he ran in his moose form, straining to hold the form as long as he could to save the child. Unfortunately his efforts were futile and he'd transformed back, the bite manifesting just above his hip - and thus started one of the worst weeks of his life.
Worgen Transformation and after:
When Corvano transformed into a worgen, he, like Genn's informant, kept his mind due to prior knowledge of the transformation and thus holding onto his sanity knowing the pain will pass and the blood lust could be tossed away. It also helped that Corvano has always been weak, weak and unwilling to kill, therefore the blood lust did not take hold. For extra precaution Corvano approached Belyssra's night elves to undergo the ritual anyway. He bumped into Logan again after the initial worgen outbreak was over, however they yet again did not spend long together. Logan ended up separated from his platoon searching for his father and his old home, he was attacked by a feral worgen and inflicted with the worgen curse. When Logan was heaved back to the night elves to undergo the ritual, Corvano was there to aid them, tending to his wounds and helping stop him from fighting back - as Logan was completely rabid at the time. The two eventually spent more time together and grew closer, retying old ties they never thought they'd get a chance at ever again. Corvano was there as a shoulder to lean on when Logan lost his father and home, and helped soothe the pain from his damaged lungs from the wrath gate, the two had a bond that ran deeper than just two unlikely souls finding each other.
The two married a month before the Pandaria campaign, determined to never leave the other's side again. Corvano's druidic abilities have only grown stronger over the years and could now be considered quite a powerful healer, although he does still mostly lack in combat skills.
During the campaign in Draenor, Corvano managed to perfect his druid of the talon form, transforming from his usual crow into a stormcrow capable of fighting enemies by his husband's side.
In the few months of calm before the Legion Invasion Logan and Corv finally managed to meet their daughter for the first time - Blake. The noblewoman's illegitimate child born of spite and cruelty, she let that control her child's life, and ruined it. They were horrified to find the girl scarred, severely malnourished and with a form of dwarfism due to the abuse, she also lacked an ability to speak. Corvano, despite only being her step-dad seemed to bond well enough, they related to one another in their chosen profession and his ability to relate to her lack of communication. They needn't have worried however for Blake was a fine and capable fighter and took after her father well.
In the fight on the broken shore, Logan was seemingly killed yet again, this time by a horde of demons. Corvano, horrified at the prospect of loosing his family again had transformed into his stormcrow form, attempting to bombard the demons with a flurry of talons and beak, but was struck down, rendering him immobile in the small crow form he usually took. His body was recovered and was kept in Dream Grove's infirmary until he recovered enough to transform back. Corvano was temporarily gifted the branch of G'hanir with express instructions to keep moving, never stop. The moment he was detected by the demons due to G'hanir's impressive outward aura of life energy he was to pass it onto the next druid healer deemed worthy. And so that is what he did. Once he had passed the legendary staff on, he found that his strength and life energy had been completely renewed - even bolstered from the prolonged exposure, but he couldn't bring himself to carry on fighting. Instead choosing to return home to Logan and his' shared apartment above Logan's forge where he'd once sold armour and weaponry to adventurers. Corvano stayed here in this depressed state for a very long time silently praying to mother moon that his husband would return....
...after all, he was carrying their child.
Pre-Battle for Azeroth and Onwards
Corvano and Logan reunited not long after the final assault on the Tomb of Sargeras brought Kil'jaeden's plans crashing down. Logan hadn't died on the front, but his body had been broken beyond repair by mortal means (despite Corvano's cries otherwise), in his time of need Odyn had offered him a bargain: Complete a series of missions and be rewarded by being returned to your body, with the mortal wounds healed. Of course Logan had agreed, and as part of his contract he was silenced by Odyn - both figuratively and literally - and thus couldn't contact his family.
Logan still has his lung issues and other previous injuries however, much to Corvano's chagrin, after all couldn't the big shiny bastard at least heal the rest of him for the turmoil?
Blake also came home, laden with new scars and so much stronger, she'd even taken time to try and make sounds in an attempt to communicate - after all, it was a mental block not a physical one, Corv had checked.
Merely days before total war broke out between the Alliance and Horde, Corvano gave birth to a daughter - Robyn. She was born with his dark skin, a tiny curl of black hair and Logan's mismatched eyes - although instead of one being blue, it was as green as Corv's own.
Due to the newborn, neither Logan nor Corvano were present for Tel'drassil's burning or Kalimdor's fall. Blake however was, causing the parents extreme distress.
Currently, Logan and Corvano are renting a small home in Boralus, helping adventurers and soldiers alike to fight back against the Horde and rising enemies. Logan with his smithing skills and Corvano with his vast knowledge of herbs, nature, alchemy and healing. Corvano can often be seen carrying Robyn in a cute sash across his chest as he collects reagents and herbs from the surrounding environment or trading in Boralus' main square.
