As Laenne paced back and forth across her apartment, she couldn’t help but work herself into more of a panic about what she was about to do.  Singing wasn’t anything she ever though she would do in front of anyone besides mury, so the more time passed, she got more and more nervous about it.  So when Inerris showed up at her door, she was feeling like her mind was about to leave her with all the fear that she had built up inside of herself.

Noticing this, her partner looked at her rather confused, not having told him that she would just be dancing, he wasn’t sure why she was so nervous.  “I don’t get it, why are you so nervous?  You had to have done this a million times.  Is it cause I’m not dancing with you or something?”

Letting him inside and quickly turning her back towards him so not to reveal that she was lying she jumped on it and spoke without inflection,  “Yeah, you know what happens when I’m not with you.  For all I know the first time solo I’ll like...break my neck or something.” 

Chuckling softly, Neri ruffled her hair and gave her a hug as he knew could always cheer her up he leaned in to whisper in her ear,  “I know you’ll do great.  You always do.”  Then he had walked up beside her and laid his arm across her shoulder and led her into the living room to sit down and have a glass of wine before they had to leave.  

Feeling rather good now that she knew she had her closest friend behind her, she knew this was a first that wouldn’t turn out so badly.
