Technically blood elves descended from night elves that were... high born, haughty, and used the Arcane. That's about all I know of my ancient past. My mother never concentrates on our past much, neither did school. It was all about the present and surviving now, rebuilding our cities and settlements after being exiled from first night elven lands and then exiled in spirit by other Horde members for daring to partake in fel magics. Which begins my point: Blood elven aging is slower. We spend years in youth than other peoples. I am only 22 right now--Technically an adult by my society's standards.
Yet my mother? She is much older and wiser and more politically powerful than I am. Because she, aided by her elven lifespan, has had decades to build her reputations and knowledge and job skills. Blood elves can extend their lifespans with fel magics, the Light or alchemical medicinal remedies. And in fact those I know and myself included seem to envy eternal life in some form or fashion: Even my beloved Prince Kael'thas Sunstrider seemed... far too immature to lead Quel'thalas or the peoples that went to Outland in hindsight.
In my twenty-two years of life I have learned saleswomanship skills, how to use makeups and style my hair, how to dress myself appropriately. How to be flirty and submissive and shy and conversely: How to use stage presence and charisma to get what I want. I don't need eternal life to be happy. Yet still... could I live forever and even be resurrected after death by testing on myself with fel magics?
Thanks for the comment. That is my style when I discuss in therapy so wow must it bleed over into Ravasha's posts too? Ha-ha I never notices that. Thanks you a lot. :)
She's very introspective and somewhat clinical as she talks to herself/her diary. She looks at things from different perspectives.
