Zeno has long purplish-black hair she keeps in a single braid. Her blue eyes glow with a cold fire, common to most Death Knights. Her figure is slightly gaunt, but fit from a millenia of battle. Her skin has a grey hue, lacking the sores present on most undead. She has many scars hidden under her armor; the only visible scar is a jagged one across her right eye. While she is well into her adulthood, Zeno was slain at a young age and appears to be the elven equivalent of a teenager, her aging all but stopped in undeath.
Zeno is sarcastic and very cynical. She is distrustful of most of the Forsaken and outright hates trolls, and dislikes most of her elven people. She has very little romantic interest; while her flesh is mostly restored, she has a fair amount of self-loathing due to being Undead. She has a soft spot for animals, particularly cats and dragons; this will overwrite her hatred of trolls (druids in cat form) as long as the character maintains the catlike appearance.
Firstborn of the esteemed Amberblaze Jewelcrafters of Silvermoon City, Zenobya has absolutely no interest in continuing the family business. She would much rather spend her days out in the wilds digging up herbs with her younger sister Aelyndria.
One fateful day near the beginning of
the Third War, Aelyndria decided she wanted to search for slightly
more rare herbs across the river deeper into the wilds of
Quel'thalas. Zeno thought this was a terrible idea but was not about
to let her sister go alone, and while searching for these herbs they
were attacked by an Amani warband. Zeno sacrificed herself to give
her sister the chance to escape and died to a berserker axe,
something Aelindria has never forgiven herself for. Zeno was still
very young, barely out of childhood, when this happened.
When
Arthas and his Scourge army attacked Quel'thalas, Zeno was raised accidentally from her grave with no memory of who she was or where she came from.
After the attack on her homeland, she served the Lich King as a
jewelcrafter and enchanter. She slowly began to wake up as she
matured in her new life as a soldier, and her turning point was
meeting her sister (who had escaped the siege of Silvermoon and
joined the Scarlet Crusade as means to atone for Zeno's death and
rebirth) on the battlefield. Once again she fell, to Aelyndria's
blade. Upon realizing what she had done, Aelyndria defected from the
Crusade and took Zeno's body to Silvermoon. There the most powerful
elven healers were able to raise Zeno but were not able to remove the
taint of the Scourge from her body, and so Zeno decided to live out
the rest of her life in self-imposed exile. She rarely goes into the
city, instead making a home with Aelyndria just outside of Orgrimmar.
