A Visitor at Glimmerglen

Why they all had wanted to throw the book at her was not known.  Perhaps Alan had something to use as leverage.  Still, here she was, confined to Fio’s estate until the trial.  It certainly could have been worse, considering they wanted Arandori Riverseeker to remain in custody

Fio had championed for her and had won.  She had full access to all of Glimmerglen which meant she could still visit Fio, the beach, and the little lambs.  Fio had even paid off the debts to finalize the divorce.

Here she was, watching the little lambs jump around.  A lot of little lambs.

“We’re done, Alan.  I don’t ever have to...

She had said she didn’t know why it bothered her so.  That she didn’t understand it. The quickening she felt in her belly as she remembered it was coming around. The almost panic that rose in her chest threatening to suffocate her.

Why?

She grabbed a handful of rocks plopped down on the tree trunk. With a flick of her wrist, she skipped a rock. “One. Two. Three. Four.” She couldn’t help but count off...

Celebrations Come in Many Forms

The whole evening had been a good one; Kae had finally promoted her.  Neither the title nor added responsibility excited her nearly as much as the extra money each week. But she’d take it and do it well.  She’d seen all of her favorite people, which was a very rare experience. Then, someone asked for advice on something completely unrelated to sex. Sure she had her own style, but she would never have expected someone to ask her for advice; help figuring out their own style.

She had spent the evening between the Moon and the Tavern. The lightweight never had more than three drinks. Not tonight. She had imbibed and then when Xylaes offered a bit of thistle, she eagerly took a few hits. Had he offered? No, she had asked for it. It was...
