Trust was always a funny thing to Maraiya. She knew how it worked. She knew that it had to be a two-way thing, that it created a bond between two people. A bond she always had wanted. And yet, those walls continued to go up and stay up. Though there were some people she liked a great deal, people she felt a sort of connection with, she still kept them at arm’s length.
