The well-dressed gentleman stopped at the end of the walkway and looked at the simple home at the end. He tugged his traveling coat closed and frowned slightly. Letting out a quick breath, he walked down the path to the front door. He glanced at the windows before finally knocking on the door. After a few moments, he heard the latches on the inside sliding against the wood and the door started to open. Inside, an older man with braided hair peered out.
“Yes?”
“May I speak with Braghaman Larethian?”
“Depends. Who’s asking?”
“I represent someone from the city who wants to propose a business offer.”
“Really?” Braghaman asked, opening the door wider and revealing the mace in his hand. He crossed his arms and rested the mace against his shoulder. “I’m Larethian. Who’s offer is it?”
“I work for Mr. Ridgewell in Stormwind.”
“Count Ridgewell?” Bragh asked, tilting his head slightly.
“The count is his uncle. Mr. Ridgewell owns a shipping business in the city.”
“I’m afraid that I don’t know much about shipping. But I have an associate who does. I can provide him with your benefactor’s name if you’d like.”
“No, sir,” the gentleman said, shaking his head. “This is not related to shipping.”
“Then what is it?”
“We understand that you have acquired some Titan technology. My employer would like to purchase it from you.”
“You’re mistaken. I don’t have any of that. There’s a scientist that I’ve helped in the past, Dr. Pinchsprocket. He may have some pieces for sale. I can ask him.”
“Do you not own an lion with wings from Uldum?”
“Valiant?” Bragh said, his eyes widened with surprise. “Well, I’m not sure if own is the right word.”
“Regardless, sir. My employer would like to purchase the beast.”
“He’s not for sale.”
“You haven’t heard my offer, Mr. Larethian.”
“I don’t need to.”
“It’s very generous.”
“Doesn’t matter,” Braghaman said with a shrug. “Valiant is not for sale.”
“Very well, sir,” the gentleman said with a frown. “But, my employer may not be satisfied with this response.”
“He’ll have to be,” Braghaman said firmly.
“Of course. Well then, have a good day Mr. Larethian.”
“You, too, sir.” Braghaman nodded and took a step back, shutting the door.
I like your descriptions, well done
