“Ready to head off to Stormwind?” the captain asked, looking up to the two women sitting in the front of the cart.
“I believe so, Captain. Thank you for your assistance.”
“Not at all, Sister Anetta,” the captain of the Night Watch said with a nod to the priestess. Then he turned his attention to the other person in the cart. “Miss Jensen. Once you have had a chance to recover, I will need to speak with you.”
“Yes, sir,” she answered meekly.
“Are you sure that you don’t want an escort to the city?” the captain asked, his gaze going back to the priestess. “I could send someone along with you.”
“The offer is much appreciated,” Sister Anetta answered. “But I would hate to deplete your forces here. The Light will guide us and watch over us.”
“Of course, sister,” the captain said, giving a short bow to the priestess.
“Are you ready?” Anetta asked, looking to the young lady seated beside her. When Sabina Jensen nodded, Sister Anetta smiled and then looked back to the captain. “May the Light protect you, captain.” The priestess then lifted the reins and gave them a quick flick while clicking her tongue. The horse let out a soft neigh before stepping forward and pulling the cart onto the road leading north of Darkshire.
Sabina looked over her shoulder as they passed the low wall of the town. Letting out a soft sigh, she then turned to face forward again, her shoulders slumped as the cart rocked along the cobblestone road.
