Weeks and weeks had passed and still, she didn’t feel like herself. She felt like she’d been slipping in and out of reality, in and out of emotions so much that she wasn’t sure which were even really her own. She has losing herself. 

She had thought she was strong enough to continue her usual life, her usual work but she wasn’t. She didn’t listen to her warnings and because of that she was losing her battle and now she had to surrender. 

With little else in the way of options, she chose the most intriguing and likely the most lucrative option she had. Working as a courtesan wasn’t something she had ever imagined herself doing before. But to her, it looked like a light to help her find a way out of the empty darkness she kept finding herself in.
