The Unwelcome Mat

(Originally posted Sept 7, 2010)

Braghaman slowly rode his charger into the capital city. Wearing the colors of the Argent Crusade, the warhorse steadily trod across the bridge as his hoofbeats echoed to the waters below. Paladin and charger were a quiet pair as the moved to the main entrance to Stormwind. As they got closer to the guards stationed at the bridge, the charger snorted as if to say, "Are you sure about this?" The paladin placed his hand gently on the back of the horse's neck, rubbing reassuringly as the continued on.

Normally, Braghaman would wear his traveling clothes. He preferred to wear black leather pants and leather vest. Normally, he'd have a well-worn hat as well. But not this day. Something made the paladin feel...

Shadow In The Light

The paladin walked slowly up the steps to the cathedral in Stormwind. His armor ringing as he climbed the stairs seemed much louder to his pounding headache. When he finally reached the top step, he stopped for a moment to catch his breath. Finally, he took a deep breath and walked into the cathedral. Entering the main hall, a young priest called out to him.

"Brother Faris. Welcome back," the priest called out. Then he noticed the paladin's condition. "Are you okay, Brother Faris?"

"I will survive," Faris grunted. Please find me Father Jeseb." The paladin sunk onto one of the benches while he awaited the priests return. He felt as if he'd barely closed his eyes when he heard footsteps...

Shadow In The Light, Part 2: Growing Conspiracies

(Originally Posted Jan 16, 2009)

The paladin Faris was sitting at a table in the Cathedral of Stormwind. It'd been a day and a half since he'd lost Braghaman Larethian. Almost two days since someone strolled up and dispatched his men and defeated him. He stewed over the insult as he read through papers on the table. While he was reading, a shadow fell over his table, blocking the light from the papers he was reading, blocking the light from his business.

Looking up, Faris saw a young paladin, his armor still fresh and suffering from no mark or dent, standing beside the table. The young man stood at attention, waiting for his superior's attention. Faris eyed him up and down for a moment. "Report."

"Sir," the young paladin began....

New Players, New Games...

Bragh had returned to Eva's inn shortly after his encounter with the death knight. It had been unsettling, as far as meetings went, but far from the worst that it could have been. With only a few hours left of that night, the paladin intended to get as much sleep as he could.

When next he awoke, Braghaman found light slipping in through the opened front door. It had not reached him yet, sitting next to the fire, but it was close enough to bring him around. Rubbing his eyes, Bragh let out a colossal yawn that cracked his jaw. Wincing, he rubbed his jaw and lifted his head slowly. His neck ached from sleeping in the chair, but it was a penance he was willing to do. Rotating his head a little,...

On The Road Home

(Originally posted Nov 11, 2008)

It was a cold night as Braghman rode through the forests of Duskwood. It had been weeks since he last stepped foot in the place. Or rather, it had been weeks since he spent any more time than it took to ride towards the haunted towers of Karazhan. He glanced around as his charger slowly paced down the street, his eyes keen for any trouble that might appear.

With the retirement of so many members of the Dawn, Braghaman had found it difficult to continue his duties in Duskwood. The last remaining councilor, he thought sadly. Almost the last officer, a soft voice added in his mind. It had been hard. At first he continued his duties the best he could, patrolling the forests and helping where he could....
