What Demons Fear?

I received a book by Master Raveintis about what do demonesses fear? They can be bound with seals not to lie, there are some materials they refuse to touch. And of course: Good old-fashioned manipulations and temptations, to which succubi and imps are especially prone to falling for. Sometimes if you tease enough they shall even follow you like lost puppies ah-ha.

They as well fear my teacher of 2 years: Selerra Sorrowsong. The Sorrowsong family has been known to be especially brutal in its deals with demonesses. They make ironclad contracts that are signed in blood. They despise demons who don't pull their own weight. And occasionally the girls of the family take on students. I was one such student before being forced to leave the Horde.

She taught me that imps are easily manipulated by a commanding presence. Act like a bratty teen girl and imps shall shake and you get your wishes granted. Or they turn invisible and run away? Ah-ha-ha-ha.

Succubi are especially vulnerable to threats of being restricted from freedoms. Make them wear covering clothing, even veils, and they fear and hate you. Selerra once showed me a naughty succubus who was forced to dress like a priestess for an infraction she did not reveal. Selerra was good at keeping her secrets until I needed to learn them.

The big brutes like Infernals know little of fear. That is why... I tried to give mine sentience. Because I wanted Infernals to rise like my House had in recent years like a phoenix from the ashes. Make their reptilian brains more elven. I made two sentient ones and the second is still roaming around.

My sentient Infernal child has not chosen a name or gender. It gets confusing sometimes yet on the other hand... I do not blame it when it has the collective experiences of thousands from the soul shards and stones I implanted into it. Selerra did not approve at first yet I talked her into helping me with promises that she could have one to take back and study. I shall support her House in its endeavors even from the Alliance now that I know she's such a good teacher. Though we must make do with letters to each other.

I have little respect for rules that restrict me, like succubi. I wish to be free and learn life lessons to survive mostly. Or have relationships based on domination and submission. I even tried to bind the skull of a powerful eredar warrioress to my control. It failed and I nearly lost my life. What did I learn?

That two years of experience as a warlock, or even ten as a fiery mage, are not enough to control some things. Some things require more experience and sharper minds than mine. I hope to hone my skills with both the mundane and magical with my new Master Raveintis Emberbeard. And Selerra through written words.
