Of Missing Companions

He didn’t like it. He didn’t like it one bit. This wasn’t what he was SUPPOSED to be doing.

Weaving in between sin’dorei, the tiger made his way towards the gates of the city at a rapid pace. Normally he preferred stealth, following behind Amorthon and trying not to draw attention to himself. Today, he didn’t have Amorthon or the patience to stealth around. So what? He might’ve made a guard or two jump with a well-timed growl. Served them right for standing in the way.

Once out of the city it was easy to break into a full run, and the route was easy enough. He’d been given a job…one he didn’t want to take. His job was to protect Amorthon…and Amorthon’s was to protect him. He couldn’t be THERE so he’d do the next best thing. With a snort, the tiger slowed as he approached the door of the estate, nudging the door with his head before flopping down and waiting for someone to answer.

The one who did was the lady who’d run the last time he was here. Amorthon had said she thought he was going to eat her? No matter, not the one he was looking for. He looked up at the woman expectantly before glancing down the hall for any signs of the other woman…the one Amorthon told him to protect. Or Cibor. Cibor was usually around the other woman anyway.

And sure enough…he nudged the leg of the scared lady at the door, just enough to slip through and hurriedly move over to where Cibor was, giving him a curious look. The lady though, she was continuing about her business…oh that wouldn’t do. The large cat plopped a paw on the back of the mage’s robes, waiting for her to notice he was there…whatever Amorthon had put around his neck was meant for her.
