As the day began Veli kept on feeling this gut wrenching feeling way down deep inside her stomach. She knew they would be going out to that house and knew deep in her heart that he had been spending so much time despairing in the mess he felt that he made. She knew that going in there again, and seeing the spot where he had murdered her mom would make her overwrought and he would feel even more despair on the pain he caused her that she decided that it would be best not to travel there to save him. Then when they had left and she felt her heart sink even a little more she just stood in the middle of the living room and waiting, hardly being able to breath the tension that was built up inside of her.
She was there, scared stiff at the thought of what they might find that she couldn’t help but shudder with the chill that entered into her. So when she brought her hands up to cover her face when the tears were streaming down from her eyes she couldn’t keep them from shaking against it. Veli stood there for what seem to be days, her heart nearly beating out of her chest in anxiousness. Then, after what was nearly three hours after they left she finally heard a knock at the door.
Veli jumped what seemed like feet in the air. Her voice weak with all of the tension she was feeling as she responded, “Be right there.” and she slowly walked over to the door and braced herself to what she might find, or he might not. Then, as she grabbed onto the door knob shakily she finally got the nerve to open it and there stood her father, her heart raced even more and she wrapped her arms around him. Veli’s entire frame hung off of him completely and the sobs came out steadily. Her dad, her sweet, caring, faithful dad was back home and she couldn’t be happier. Days had passed and she just sat there and talked to him for hours on end. About her brothers coming back into town . She didn’t even realize how much time had gone by until she finally decided to emerge from the loft.
