After living in that apartment that the Vicar had so graciously allowed her to reside in, Veli and her father decided that it was high time that they found a place of their own. As much as she would want to be there constantly, she knew her duties to Anore took precedence over wasting her life away with worry that something may happen again with her father.
The two of them had spent weeks deciding the perfect spot. He knew of how much she adored the pandaren lands so somewhere that was out of the way enough that should something happen people would be well protected, but close enough to civilization that she could easily bring supplies in and check on him. Fortunately enough the house that they had found had some help that came...
As the day began Veli kept on feeling this gut wrenching feeling way down deep inside her stomach. She knew they would be going out to that house and knew deep in her heart that he had been spending so much time despairing in the mess he felt that he made. She knew that going in there again, and seeing the spot where he had murdered her mom would make her overwrought and he would feel even more despair on the pain he caused her that she decided that it would be best not to travel there to save him. Then when they had left and she felt her heart sink even a little more she just stood in the middle of the living room and waiting, hardly being able to breath the tension that was built up inside of her.
She was there, scared stiff at the...
Several days had passed until she finally approached the Vicar and she stood before him doing what she could to tell him what all was going on, and where exactly she had been. She told him about how she finally figured out what had happened to her father, how she had felt when he grabbed a hold of her and that the overwhelming presence she felt was some sort of demonic possession. They had started down the royal exchange after speaking with another within the hospital for some time and her mind kept on returning to something that her mind kept repeating to her. How in the world could she not have seen it years ago?
Then, as she stood there before this demon, this monster that her father had become and her heart sank. She felt the...
Veli had paced around her apartment. It was quiet, way too quiet, and as much as Hope didn’t trust the man she kind of missed Veli’s father being around. Hope decided to fly over and land on the girl’s shoulder and did her best to look up at Veli and give her a reassuring look but all that was accomplished in doing so was to make Veli stop pacing. Replaying the conversation that she had with the newest scout within the guild, Veli couldn’t help but smile at the thought of the girl trying to hog tie her dad. It was the first time that she had smiled in the greater part of two days but it quickly faded as she thought of her dad just sitting there alone in that house. How alone he must feel and the thought of him feeling so wounded...
As the hours pass and turn into days, Veli doesn’t emerge from the library. The books surrounding her growing until they were nearly as high as her head. She quickly looks through her notes and all that she could really find were notes on saronite poisoning and posession. Was this the diagnosis that she had come to? Was there really someone or something inside his mind, forcing him to do all of this, and just how could this have happened without anyone being able to see it taking place.
Hearing all of the talking over the communicator she was awoken again in the pile of books she was accumulating. Barely eating at all for the last couple of days and feeling like her legs were nearly ready to atrophy. Veli finally decided to try and...
Veli shot up in bed again, her body shaking with a hacking cough and the sobs started again. She found it somewhat amusing that she couldn’t sleep more often after her father had been caught than she ever did when she was on the run and every day was a reminder of that time. The words that she spoke to Alia still echoed in her mind, “You don’t have to get me anything” and Alia responded “I know I don’t have to, but I want to.” it reminded her of Haveth. He wasted three years of his life on Veli. He spent all that time with her and for what? Her dad trying to kill her and the sobs came even stronger.
Veli then sat there for what seemed like an eternity. Thankful that she was no longer sleeping where Nora could hear her...
During the night while the other two women were still asleep in their bed, again Veli bolted up in the comfortable bed that Nora had allowed her to stay in, slapping her hand over her mouth to prevent the scream from escaping her lips. She thought to herself that she was being such a rude guest to accept a bed but not even think to sleep in it. Her chest, feeling like someone had taken the weight of the world inside a bag and laid it upon her chest, making it nearly impossible to breath.
She allowed herself to feel safe, she was really enjoying herself last night. The Vicar was an impressive sight to watch him work and she had already started to feel an incredible respect for him even despite only meeting him a few days ago. The...
Days had passed since the encounter with her father but Veli still was fairly shaken by the whole ordeal. She looked back and shuddered from deep inside her very core. Veli then closed her eyes and started to recall the blackness that she had seen just surrounding his mind. She tried to figure out what it was that was gripping him so and couldn’t think. Even after all of the good things, the Vicar posting her officially to her new position, and the mass where he spoke the words for the first virtue so eloquently she still felt rattled by everything she had encountered.
All of the words he said, everything he did leading up to this point, and that darkness that she actually saw, it was almost palpable. It must have been saronite, as...
Veli burst up in bed. Thinking back on the last month and feeling comfortable again for the first time in a very long time but she knew that peace couldn’t last. She waited for weeks to tell the woman that she admired and respected of the situation she was in. She fully expected that the Lady Doctor would have cast her off right then and there for putting was known as her family in jeapordy but to Veli’s shock Azuriann took Veli in her arms for a hug and promised to protect her. Said that she was a member of this family now and that she wouldn’t let any harm come to her, and that her father wouldn’t get to her.
She felt loved, protected and, most of all, part of something. Part of a family, something that she had...

Velinthria shot up in bed and the cold sweat started to bead up on her face and chest and she could feel her heart nearly beating out of her chest. She had that dream again, and couldn’t sleep. Her mother came to her in her dreams. She was holding out her arms and she could see the stab wounds across her chest and the large gash on her mother’s neck from where Veli’s father had slit her throat. She feared for that to happen to her, true, but before that could happen the exhaustion alone could kill her as well. Veli assumed that was exactly what he had wanted. She would wear herself out and fall victim to one of his attacks for she was too tired to defend herself. But that wasn’t the only thing weighing on her...
Quris sits in his cell thinking of the plan him and his youngest son have sprung into place. He takes one last look at his surroundings before the guard comes to lead him to the courthouse. He rises and waits for the guard to attach the shackles to his hands and feet and is led quickly to the double doors that lead into the courthouse.
Once there he takes one cursory glance around the room, noting where everyone is standing and finally his eyes settle on two people in the back. Of course, he thought. That weak boy Haveth has done it again. He always did have a soft spot for that wretch and of course he would try and protect her, then his eyes settle directly on Velinthria. She was dressed in the colors of the Argents,...

After making a brief stop to her hotel room to take a quick shower and to change into her argent crusade garb, Vel had straightened herself out. She put on some makeup to cover up the tear stains that were still below her eyes and she shakily smoothed out her robes. Her extremely long red hair was pulled back into a pony tail and, as always had a slight curl to it, making it look shorter than it actually was.
When Vel had finally reached the courthouse the tension was palpable. She looked around the room and only saw one person she actually knew. Her older brother, Haveth was standing close to the back of the courthouse. He was looking for someone, and it soon became apparent that it was his little sister. He...
(This story is actually about veli’s dad but I do so little rping with him that I figured I would just put it on Veli’s page instead of making a new one for him.)

As Quris sat there he couldn’t help but muse over everything that had led him to this point. Sitting in the cold, dark cell he closed his eyes and remembered the night vividly. That wench was defending their daughter again. She was saying how Veli should be free to live her life and that they were the ones holding her back. This infuriated him even more but he quickly regained his composure and made sure he appeared calm to his wife as best as he could be. Then even as he remembered it, he was surprised at his cunning.
While she was in the kitchen...
After travelling straight for several days to return home as requested Vel had finally made it back to Silvermoon near the middle of the night. Knowing that she could not go to see what was left of their house in this state, she decided to try and get some sleep at the inn and go there fresh in the morning.
Little did she know that rest would not come so easily. She laid down between the sheets and for hours she would toss and turn, her mind not allowing her the rest she needed until finally several hours later she had succumb to the exhaustion that overwhelmed her. Even then, the sleep she so desperately needed did not come and she had awoken only a few hours later. It was then that she knew that this was as ready as she...

After several years of proving herself a more than capable healer and devoted priestess of the Light, Vel had started musing on those she had left behind. Seeing as both of her brothers had been long grown and moved out of the house when she had left her mind immediately turned to her mother and father. Wondering what ever happened to them after she had left. If the fighting had stopped or if it had grown steadily worse after she was gone.
She had started off by working in the plaguelands. Healing men and women after they had returned from battling against the scourge and she had more than proven herself. She was stationed there for several years before she was sent to what she had referred to the frozen north. Vel had...

After spending weeks on end without going home and focusing all of her energy on healing up Hope, Veli had a decision to make. She knew that if she wanted to continue down this road and to become the person she knew she needed to be, she had to let go of the past, starting with her parents. She sat down and took out the scroll case and her quill and started writing.
Mother and Father,
As you probably have suspected by now and as much as it pains me to say this, I cannot keep on living with you both. You have turned your back on our family with all the screaming and fighting you do on a daily basis and you have disgraced our family with all of the anger you show towards each other on a daily basis. I once loved being in our...

Little did Vel know that when she started walking down the cobblestone that was outside of her parents home, this would be the night that would ultimately shape what would be the rest of her life. She knew that it wasn’t safe, and that wretched roamed the streets in force these days but she really didn’t care. She had to get away from that house. It had started yet again. She continued to hear the screaming from nearly a half mile from the house when they were finally out of earshot. After a few more steps Veli decided to just have a seat on one of the planters that was on the edge of the area she knew was a wretched hot zone.
Veli sat there and stared at her surroundings and found herself wondering what the point of continuing to...
